Upgraded to assessed against Cadw full report FL003 (sig-20260722-report-fl003). The report richly describes active defence (corner towers, arrowslits, moated wards, drawbridge, inner gatehouse with turning gate, doors and portcullis) and residence (residential tower floors, chapel, a donjon "castle within the castle" with a well), supporting fortified_residence: yes for Edward I's castle of 1277 (a royal lord is still a lord). popular_castle OMITTED: however famous Flint is, the report itself evidences no visitor operation or World Heritage standing, and assessment mode bars using outside knowledge — per the usage rule the band is left unassessed.
