Notes
Bands assessed against Cadw's full scheduled-monument report (MM109). fortified_residence upgraded from register-derived to assessed — a battlemented curtain wall, flanking round towers at the entrance and a rectangular corner-towered keep for defence, and the keep's vaulted rooms for the de Clare residence. The report notes the castle may have been unfinished, but the standing keep and defended bailey satisfy both halves. Other bands omitted. One official report, so confidence is medium.
